WHERE SMALL TOWN SHOPPING MEETS ONLINE CONVENIENCE

So you've got 'stuff' to sell. Now what?

Yes we can help you sell! We actually have several options to help you sell ranging from consignments in the store or online to utilizing our Estate Room so you can maximize your sales and minimize consignment fees.

Today's selling markets are far more sophisticated than they used to be. Buyers are inundated with options to buy from all sorts of businesses online. Ebay, Etsy, Amazon, Craiglist and Facebook Marketplace are just a few. We've been selling online for over 15 years so we can help you figure out the best place and marketing strategy for your items. In addition to selling out of our brick and mortar store, here are some places we can help you sell:

Ebay

Rubylane

Etsy

Craigslist

Facebook Marketplace

Every Item has a unique market. The above options each have advantages and disadvantages to using. Some of them you can choose to use yourself. But for the same reason you may not cut your own hair, we can provide professional services that may increase the amount your item sells for. It is quite possible you may even net more allowing us to sell your items after our fees than if you did selling it yourself!

EBAY

We have an Ebay store for over 15 years. We bring confidence to both buyers and sellers and make the process easier for everyone. Advantages we can give you:

  • Buy It Now vs. Auction - Ask your price, wait for the right buyer
  • Confidence to the buyers with our reputation and experience - Over 10,000 transactions
  • Sell Internationally, in the United States or locally with "Pick Up Only" Items (We have had people come from New Hampshire for the right item and a Canadian customer paid for shipping to Montana and drove across the border to get it himself!
  • We can sell one item, large items or collections.
  • Items must meet qualification standards listed below
  • Fees vary depending on value, shipping and other factors but starts at 30% and goes up to 50%

RUBYLANE

Rubylane is the world's largest curated marketplace for antiques, vintage collectibles, vintage fashion, fine art and jewelry.

  • We have successfully sold on Rubylane since 2004
  • Rubylane is home to 2,500 active shop owners who sell over $125,000 worth of merchandise daily.
  • There are over 1 million visitors every month viewing over 15 million products. They have an earned reputation for quality and reputable buyers and sellers.
  • This is a great place to list the right items because the audience is serious dealers and buyers.
  • Unlike Ebay, sellers must meet standards and items are sold strictly in a Buy it now status (no auctions).

Whether it's a $100 vintage postcard or a $12,000 Louis Vuitton steamer trunk or a $35,000 china cabinet, Rubylane is a great place to sell unique and quality antiques and collectibles.

ETSY

Etsy is an e-commerce website focused on handmade or vintage items and supplies, as well as unique factory-manufactured items. These items cover a wide range, including art, photography, clothing, jewelry, food, bath and beauty products, quilts, knick-knacks, and toys.

  • We have had a presence on Etsy since 2014.
  • Etsy is a valuable option for selling uniques to crafters and vintage lovers. Things from vintage fabrics to storage and display pieces. The buyers here love the one of a kind pieces. But it can also be a great way to sell crafters supplies like stamps, beads, sewing, scrapbooking materials etc.
  • If you have a craft or repurposed product that you designed and made, we can help you sell and get national and international exposure.

CRAIGSLIST

Once a valuable place to sell anything and everything, Craiglist has had it's fair share of challenges dealing with scammers. If you are a novice on the computer, we do not suggest you sell here because a naive anxious seller can be manipulated. Not to mention their is risk in having strangers come to your home. Facebook Marketplace has become a better option for most people selling goods on a local level. That said, all buyers are not on Facebook and this shouldn't be overlooked. It is still a good place to advertise a piece for pickup.

FACEBOOK MARKETPLACE

Facebook Marketplace is the trendy place to sell online. With over 1 BILLION active users, Facebook can be a great place to advertise your items. Unfortunately, that number also makes it a potential disadvantage because competition and quantity of listings can mean you have limited time to get somebody's attention. It also means you have to deal with people meeting you. It has gained a reputation for people showing interest and then never showing up. So while not a perfect option, it is free and anybody can do it if you have the time and desire to.

Listing takes time and money. What qualifies varies by where we sell and what kind of a listing it is. Here are the basic things you need to know.

  1. Ebay - Items must be worth at least $100 OR be a collection with value over $500.
  2. Some items like automobiles or boats must be sold via auction - Reserve costs may apply.
  3. Rubylane has site standards. Qualifications vary from each category and they do NOT allow reproductions.
  4. We must feel that an item has a chance of selling based on our research
